RHUGT RECAP | The Woman Who Sued Them Is Back =NeNe Leakes, the anniversary season, and all eight Ultimate Girls Trip franchises ranked

Tonight's Episode

The Woman Who Sued Them Is Back =NeNe Leakes, the anniversary season, and all eight Ultimate Girls Trip franchises ranked | Six years gone, one federal lawsuit in between, and Bravo still could not stage a twentieth anniversary without her.

Elle and Kat open on the return of NeNe Leakes and what it says about the franchise she built. The argument is not that she lasted. It is that she changed what a Housewife is. Before Atlanta, the confessional was a camera pointed at a woman. After NeNe, it was a stage. The pivot to lens, the eyebrow held one beat too long, the read that lands in under eight words and drops in volume on the punchline instead of rising into a shout, all of it traces back to one chair in one city in 2008. Elle breaks the read down as an actual craft, with roots in Black queer ballroom culture and Southern Black women's humor, and explains the mechanism that turned one-liners into GIFs, then into vernacular, then into a clip economy every later cast walked into already fluent.

We do not skip the hard part. Her 2022 federal complaint against NBCUniversal, Bravo, and Andy Cohen alleged a racist and hostile work environment. It was dismissed without prejudice that August with both sides pointed toward arbitration. No ruling, no admission, no settlement anywhere in the public docket, and the dollar figure everybody repeats traces to a single anonymous blog rather than a court document. We say what is on the record and we say plainly what is not.

Then the countdown.

Eight franchises have placed a cast member on Ultimate Girls Trip across six installments, five aired and one shelved. We rank all eight by four tests, invention, peak, durability, and current health, and we defend every placement including the ones that will make you yell at your phone. Atlanta at one over the city that started the whole thing. Beverly Hills at three despite holding the strongest modern numbers in the franchise. Miami at eight with the best comeback story on the list. Plus the four cities that never got a seat at all, and why the invite list works better as a franchise health chart than any ratings report does.

Fingertip facts throughout. Season counts, episode totals, who is airing, who is paused, and which single city has turned up in all six trips.

Also inside: why nobody can agree whether this is season five or season six, and the house rule we made to end that argument for good.

Rankings are our opinion, loudly. Anything from the lawsuit is an allegation and gets labeled as one. Anything from the docket is public record and gets stated flat.

Bringing context to reality TV, one episode at a time.
